Ladies and Gentlemen, Our Beautiful Turkeys

Turkeys came to Unity Farm Sanctuary starting in 2018

There are a variety of reasons turkeys find their way to Unity. A good number were rescued from the meat industry or backyard butchering operations. Others were surrendered because they were purchased as egg layers or as cute, but temporary, entertainment. And some domestic breeds were simply found abandoned. We have a lively and expansive group of Royal Palms, Narragansetts, Blue Slates, Bourbon Reds, and White Broad-Breasted birds. In fact, the unofficial Mayor of UFS is Palmer, a Royal Palm who oversees all visitor tours and keeps company with his fellow turkeys Handsome, Frankie, Thelma, Lou, Sam, Frodo and more. These highly social birds are packed with lots of personality and add lots of color and fun to our days. No matter their journey to safety, all of our turkeys receive much love, care, and attention here at Unity.

The UFS TUrkeys needs grain, veggies, annual medical care, plus an occasional treat. You can become a Unity Supporter for the Turkeys! Every donation is deeply appreciated and goes directly to the care of our rescued farm animal residents.

$8.32 is the cost of care for each animal each day here at Unity Farm Sanctuary in feed, care, veterinary and more

All donors are recognized as a Unity Supporter

One lucky donor pledging a gift of $499.20/year is recognized as the Unity Protector. You could be their Unity Protector for the year!
